Important Safety Information: Probe and Device Disinfection
Butterfly has identified the products listed below as compatible with the Butterfly probe and cable. Butterfly has not validated their biological effectiveness. For the biological effectiveness of a product, always follow the instructions, guidelines, and recommendations of the product manufacturer, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, as well as your regional regulations. The Butterfly probe must be cleaned and disinfected after each use, as described in the “Maintenance” section of the Butterfly User Manual.
It may be necessary to disinfect your mobile device after use. For details, refer to your mobile device manufacturer’s policy and website for support.
Products marketed for medical use that have similar active ingredients and similar concentrations as the products listed can be used, even if they do not appear in the list below.
For any product where the probe must be submerged, please follow the “To make sure your probe is compatible with HLD” instructions in the User Manual to check that the probe is suitable for submersion. Do not submerge the probe beyond the level shown in the “Probe Submersion Line” figure.

Safety and Performance Considerations
[1] This product uses hydrogen peroxide as one of its active ingredients. Safety, functionality and performance of the probe has been found not to be impacted when using this product; in some instances, high exposure to this product may result in slight, premature discoloration of the painted symbols on the probe.
[2] This product requires that you follow the “To make sure your probe is compatible with HLD” instructions in the User Manual to check that the probe is suitable for use.
[3] The manufacturer indicates this product can be used for high level disinfection (HLD) when used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
To make sure your probe is compatible with HLD:
Open your Butterfly iQ app while your probe is plugged into your mobile device.
Tap the gear icon to display the Settings screen.
Tap My iQ to display the My iQ screen.
Ensure that the High-Level Disinfection Supported line indicates Yes.
Proceed with HLD only if supported on your probe.
Disconnect the probe from the mobile device.
